About Mangio Italian Restaurant

Mangio Italian Restaurant is one of those places you end up talking about long after the meal is over, especially if you’re wandering around the Pops District in Brgy Corong Corong, El Nido and craving something comforting yet full of character. From the moment I introduce people to Mangio Italian Restaurant, I always describe it as a relaxed Italian spot that feels perfectly at home in Palawan’s laid-back coastal vibe. It’s the kind of restaurant where you can slow down, enjoy real conversation, and let good food set the pace. The Italian restaurant atmosphere leans casual and welcoming, making it easy to drop by for a long dine-in meal or grab something quick to take away. Outdoor seating is a big plus here, especially in the evenings when the breeze rolls through the district, and for those days when you’d rather stay in, delivery and drive-through options make things convenient without losing that Italian comfort-food feel. What really stands out when introducing Mangio Italian Restaurant is how flexible it is for different moods and moments. You can come for coffee and small plates, or settle in with friends over wine, beer, or cocktails while the happy-hour drinks keep the mood light and social. The menu offerings are thoughtfully rounded, covering alcohol, spirits, and wine alongside vegan and vegetarian options, which makes it easier to recommend the place to mixed groups with different tastes. It’s not overly fancy or intimidating, yet it still feels intentional, like a restaurant that knows exactly what it wants to be. Located right in Bgry Corong Corong Pops District, El Nido, 5313 Palawan, Philippines, Mangio Italian Restaurant naturally fits into the rhythm of the area, giving locals and travelers alike a familiar Italian dining experience with a distinctly El Nido energy that feels easy, flavorful, and genuinely inviting.

⭐ 5/5 – Fantastic Italian Food in El Nido! Mangio served some of the best pizza, pasta, and salad we’ve had in El Nido. The wood-fired pizza was perfectly cooked, the pasta was rich and flavorful, and the salad was fresh and well-balanced. Great ambiance and friendly service too. Highly recommended! ????????

We visited this lovely Italian restaurant twice during our holidays, and both times were unforgettable. The food was simply amazing, from the different bruschettas and pastas, to the freshly made desserts, everything tasted authentic and full of flavor. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, the owner even came out to present some of the dishes, which made the experience feel extra special. On top of that, we enjoyed a stunning view of the sunset. Truly one of the best restaurants in the area.

We came across this restaurant by chance and it was a complete delight. Ricardo was very helpful and all of the staff were lovely. Delicious bruschetta, carbonara and pizza, all of which can be customised down to how you like your pasta cooked. Recommend!

Best pizza in the Philippines. The pizzaiolo is truly exceptional, the dough is very tasty (apparently they import the flour from Naples) and the toppings are very fresh- also the tomato sauce is imported from Naples! If you are after eating very good pizza while you’re in El Nido, look no further. We also went to other pizzerias in town like Bella Vita and Nostra Pizza but they’re not even comparable to what you eat here.

Late review. Dined last Nov 1. One of the best pizzas I’ve had! Legit crust — soft yet perfectly crunchy. Totally worth it at ₱490 only. The staff were all friendly and accommodating, and the beach view made the experience even better. Their mango shake was also really good! Too bad there were only two of us — if we were more, we could’ve tried their pasta and another pizza flavor. Special thanks to Ate Rachel who assisted us so warmly. Highly recommended!

Our lunch here was easily the epicurean highlight of our time in El Nido. We walked in on a quiet afternoon, and what followed wasn't just a meal—it was a full-blown experience. Mangio helped us personally, he is a legend. Since it wasn't too busy, he went above and beyond by giving us an impromptu pizza-making class while he prepared our order. Seeing the passion and technique he puts into his craft explained exactly why the food tastes so incredible. The Diavola pizza was, quite simply, perfection. The crust, the char, and the spice were all 10/10. Never expected to find such a fantastic Italian pizza outside of Italy. We also shared: Meatball Appetizer: tender and flavorful, great sauce. Bruschetta: Bursting with fresh ingredients, bread could be better. Butter Garlic Shrimp: Perfectly cooked and savory. French Fries: Super crispy and the perfect side. It’s rare to find such authentic Italian soul outside of Italy. Between the world-class food and the amazing hospitality, this is a must-visit. You don’t just get a meal here; you get a memory. Do not miss this place! It is on the top floor of ECO Suites.

" lovely owner , fantastic view , decent menu and food, with various entertainment to be added in the future " Good afternoon my brother's and sisters in Christ , I hope your having a beautiful day. I've been coming past mangio for sometime and been meaning to do a review for sometime and today is that day. The restaurant is connected to a hotel (although still it's own business) and on the 3rd floor. So there is a few steps to go through before reaching the restaurant , so please bare this in mind. The restaurant itself is quite big , caters for probably around 50 people. Right at the front are the best seats in the restaurant , as it's overlooking the beautiful beach of corong corong. As for the other seats in the restaurant , you still get a decent view of the beach but just not as exquisite. The menu is good and has a lot to offer. The owner Ricardo , seems like a great guy , recommended the classic margarita, so I went for that option. The size is 14 inch and for just under 500 pesos , I can say this is a good deal and can feed 2. The pizzas bread is fluffy with a thin crust , good mozzarella , although there was hardly any basil on the pizza , which isn't the worst thing in the world , but I prefer fresh basil to be put on , after the pizza has been cooked , to really come through. The music in the background has a chilled , Italian , loungy , beachy vibe which was refreshing and works with this venue. My only main constructive criticism of this place , is that the table I sat at (right at the front ) the supporting legs of the table was to close together so it made a little awkward for me. However , I spoke to the owner regarding this and he told me that he's looking in to adding / changing some of the tables to accommodate perhaps taller people and he also gave me 20% of, which I really did appreciate. This place is suited for couples and groups of 4. So final thoughts , a restaurant with a lovely owner , who wants to make this a stand out restaurant in corong and corong. By adding some quality entertainment in the future and perhaps making a little adjustment in some of the seating, he will defiantly achieve his goal. The menu is versatile and offers a good selection , the vibe is chilled with some amazing views of corong corong beach. I will be coming back soon , thank you Ricardo for your warm welcome and discount off , I really did appreciate that. God bless

A wonderful Italian dining experience! We tried both the pizza and the pasta, and everything was absolutely delicious. The pizza in particular was a true masterpiece, flavorful, and tasty. They also have vegan dishes, that are amazing.Riccardo, the owner, was incredibly friendly and shared many interesting details about how the dishes are prepared. His passion for authentic Italian cuisine really shows. The crue was also very Friendly and Welcoming. Highly recommended.
